Do you feel lost, confused, or unclear about what to do after your treatment?
The journey of breast cancer treatment can be frightening, exhausting, and emotionally challenging. After treatment, it is easy to feel unsure about what the future holds. Many people experience challenges with their sleep, energy levels and body weight. Going on a diet would be one way to tackle this. Post-cancer, however, your body needs much more.
My name is Itziar Morate and I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist. I specialize in Cancer Nutrition. I work with individuals who have been through Breast Cancer Treatment and are looking for nutritional support after their breast cancer treatment.
Taking control of your health is an essential part of the healing process. This includes taking an active role in your health, being willing to make changes in your life and being able to deal with resistance. After a breast cancer treatment, fatigue can have a considerable impact on your life. Therefore, you may not have the time, energy, or resources available to dedicate to your recovery. This is when working with a nutritional therapist can really make a difference. Together, we can help create a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan, which will help you regain your strength and get you back to your best.
My holistic programmes combine nutritional advice, wellbeing coaching and DNA testing. They are individual, science-based, and bespoke to my client's needs. I always consider my client's health journey, health goals and dietary preferences. All my programmes offer DNA testing, so I can personalise the programme, as much as possible, to each individual.

Nutritional therapy is the application of nutritional science to improve health and wellbeing. This involves identifying imbalances in the body and what problems or symptoms they are causing. Nutritional therapy is not a replacement for medical care but, more accurately, a complementary medicine, tailored towards the needs of the individual. Unlike some forms of dietary advice, it is a highly regulated profession, anchored to evidence-based data and science.
Cancer has touched many members of my family. My mother suffered from leukemia, my father had breast cancer, one of my brothers had lymphoma and another had bladder cancer. A few years ago, I lost one of my sisters to lung cancer. These experiences with cancer have fired my passion for learning how nutritional therapy can help. I strongly believe nutritional support after breast cancer treatment should be part of any cancer recovery program, as a form of complementary therapy, alongside conventional treatments.
I completed a degree in Nutritional Medicine back in 2014, after which I worked in various NHS Trusts, helping patients recover from cancer. My main areas of interest are cancer prevention, nutritional support after breast cancer treatment, ageing and weight problems.
